The unique green living work of art

Wallflower™ patented plant art consists of 3 simple elements

1. a soil pouch with a system of cotton wicks
in which the plants take root,
the cotton wicks absorb water
from the reservoir
2. a watertight plastic container
with a water reserve and water level indicator

which you can click open at the top to exchange the soil pouch
 
3. a frame
available in a wide variety of materials, finishes and colours to suit each interior

Evolution of the Wallflower plant-art

2006
Invention by 2 professors of horticulture at the University of Montpellier, inspired by the vertical gardening trend of Patrick Blanc in France.
2006 - 2007
First tests and prototypes for the substrate mixes for various plant compositions.
June 2007
Meeting with Thom van Pul, CEO of the stockmarket listed cut-flower wholesale Thomas Fleurs - a business and production plan are put into effect.
September 2007
Production launch and creation of the first moulds of the Wallflower components.
December 2007
First production tests and improvements.

Official commercialisation of the Wallflower plant-art in France via the network of wholesalers in cut-flowers and plants.
October 2008
Partnership with the garden centre group Botanic (60 throughout France).
January 2009
Partnership with the garden centre group Truffaut (56 garden centres throughout France).
January 2010
Official commercialisation of the Wallflower™ framed mini wall gardens throughout Holland in the network of Intratuin garden centres More than 70 000 frames sold in France!
January 2011
Dingers, the first garden centre in Germany, now sells Wallflower. More than 200 000 Wallflowers sold!
